In 1947, the dealership became Oldsmobile - Cadillac and remained in business there until 1960 under the name of Taylor Motors. David Taylor Sr. David W. Taylor Sr. began his automotive career in 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas. In 1965, David acquired a Buick dealership in Beaumont and at age 28, David was youngest Buick dealer in the nation. In 1975, David opened a Cadillac dealership in Houston. He added a Buick franchise to the dealership in 1990. David Taylor Cadillac-Buick has won numerous factory awards over the years for sales and service. Over the years, David served on Buick and Cadillac Dealer Councils many times. He was on the National Buick Dealers Advisory Committee in 1992 and 1993. He was president of the Gulf Coast Cadillac Dealers Association for 15 years.
